On May 9, the Ministry of Construction, in coordination with the Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, announced the development plan for Phu Quoc International Airport for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái 2050.
The plan, approved under Decision No. 427/QD-BXD, covers a total area of approximately 1,050 hectares, with over VND 26.5 trillion (about USD 1 billion) in investment by 2030, and nearly VND 25.8 trillion more after 2030.

The expansion includes a new 3,300-meter runway next tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái the current 3,500-meter runway, enlarged aircraft parking areas tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái accommodate 70–80 aircrafts, and the capacity tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái handle wide-body jets like the B747, B787, and A350, as well as long-haul flights from Europe and the U.S.

A major highlight is the new passenger terminal inspired by the image of a phoenix, designed by Singapore-based CPG consultants. It will feature cutting-edge technology such as biometric identification, remote check-in, and automated baggage sorting - reducing processing time tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái just 15–30 seconds per passenger.
In addition, a VVIP terminal will be built tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái welcome heads of state, designed in the shape of a sea eagle by Italian architect Marco Casamonti, known for the "Kissing Bridge" project.
The project also includes the expansion of cargo facilities, radar systems, and other supporting infrastructure.
The terminal design was created by CPG Consultants, a Singapore-based consultancy
Earlier, Phu Quoc City announced a range of projects tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái support APEC 2027, including a 10,000 m² Convention and Exhibition Center, an international media center, a cultural and arts palace, a duty-free shopping mall, and road connections linking the airport tỷ lệ kèo nhà cái the city center.
